I wasn’t sure if this would be an easy fix or if I should find a mechanic. A couple of videos and I was convinced it would be easy enough.
I’m glad I didn’t pay someone for the repair. It was a handful of screws and plastic clips to get the door handles, control panel and door panel off. From there, a sticky plastic weather barrier to peel back (wear disposable gloves) another handful of screws and a few nuts to get the old window regulator out. The install was the same set of steps in reverse.
This was money well spent and my window works as well as it ever did. Quality seems on par with the original OEM part I removed. I had to make a very slight bend to the top of the vertical piece to get the screws to line up with the mounting holes on the door, but barely worth worrying about. Operation is smooth and sounds about the same as the other windows. I’m very satisfied with this purchase.
