There were no instructions. I plugged it in and the light on the switch stayed on. This was not good because it would continue drain my boat battery even when I wasn’t using it. I was preparing to send it back when I discovered that if I reversed how I plugged in the switch the light only went on when in the on possition. I decided to keep it. The switch will be out in the open so hopefully it will be water proof.

hooked every thing up and had power on one side but nothing on the out side .ordering another one hope it works better than the frist one did

I gave it 4 stars, because the light is on all the time. One would think the light would only come on when the power is turned on to the accessory.

This switch has 125/250 VAC written on the housing. This switch was intended for a 12V DC system, not an AC set-up and I will not be putting it on AC or adding a rectifier to suit it, so NO GOOD. Adjust the ad.

I bought this switch to put inline with my RV macerator and it works well.

This is just a better, stronger, more robust switch, on a better guage wire. I wish I had found this one first. The smaller switches on the lighter wire all just melt. I use this to run a sprayer on the back of my tractor, ad I like that it lights up for quick visual verification.
