I was thinking from the description that this was one of those torque limiting gaskets and of course it wasn’t. Simply returned and just used Permatex hi-temp black silicone that was oil resistant.

So just a card board backer without a “do not fold” warning written anywhere. Definetley a crease in a portion of the gasket. Can’t blame delivery when its not packaged correctly.

GM did not use a gasket on the LLY/LBZ. In almost 230,000 miles I have replaced the gasket maker gasket on the oil pan 3 times. This time, no more gasket maker and finally gasket that fits the Duramax 10,000 on the gasket and no issues thus far. Thank you fel-pro
