These gaskets were purchased for a new intake manifold for a 351w and were recommended by the intake manifold manufacturer. Installed as expected and we have not had any issues.

The best intake gaskets you can use for an older 289 Ford with Edelbrock Performer RPM heads. My suggestion would be NOT to use the end gaskets that come with the set and do what 99% of everybody does and run a bead of silicone sealant on the end rains and perhaps around the front and rear water jackets a bit and torque the manifold down and let it set overnight preferably. I’ve found that Permatex ULTRA BLACK that you’ll see in a silver and black tube at auto parts stores (new colors for the product tube) will do the job nicely. Others may not. Just make sure you run the bead from the very CORNER where the manifold meets the heads from one side to another and don’t be afraid to use enough to seal whatever gap you had and then a bit more when you dry-fitted the manifold before using the sealant. (Lay the manifold on the heads DRY, no sealant, and look at the gap FRONT and REAR. Then use a bit more and you’ll be good. Hope this helps somebody.
