Used it for less than 2 months and car started to shake and check engine light lit up and yes it was the MAF…
just missed my opportunity to return the item…
anyway, cleaned and installed my old MAF and now my car is back to normal again…

Installed it in my stock 2001 330ci, did not fit properly, used electrical tape to thicken the neck and get a seal, then car ran horribly. Removed it and put original back on and all is fine.

What I liked was buying a mass air flow sensor meter, for under $30.00 instead of over $250.00 , and that if works just fine.

Works for what it’s supposed to but dies out really quick. I couldn’t keep my car running for a long time because it would randomly turn off. Bought original piece and problem solved. LOL

Installed to help problem solve a faulty MAF sensor after resolving other issues and a CCV replacement. This included rough idle, misfires in cylinder 3 & 6 and Trans Fail Safe condition of hard shifting to second at 20mph and again into first at 5mph.
After resolving other issues including major tune up and vanos valve replacement, I then purchased the OEM MAF sensor to replace this one.
Because MAF sensors are so specific and critical to the vehicles operation/function, this resolved the Trans Fail Safe, rough idle and cleared the last code I had.
Spend the money on the OEM specific replacement. I thought I’d take the chance on this item and I was wrong, after much research you are better off finding the OEM from BMW or your foriegn auto parts store.
It truly matter and I hope this helps you make the right decision. The MAF is crucial and very sensitive unit.

For the price it looks just like OEM and so far is working like it too. Price is super good too.

I bought this exact product in 2022, it worked GREAT on my BMW x5 3.0, then it stopped functioning this march 2025, and i was getting lean codes and the holy dreaded ” Trans-Fail-safe “. So i ordered another one from this same company 2weeks ago, not only was i certain it wasn’t a NEW product, but essentially it worked fine for 2 days then it screwed My whole truck. It died on side of road, couldn’t start it, it just cranked but wouldn’t turn over/ battery died. then 200$ towing, I ended up changing my Fuel pump, diagnosing in my garage for 2weeks, fuses, relay’s etc,was getting misfires on 2-3-4 cyl, changed fuel filter, all Ignition coils etc. Lost 2 weeks of work/spent 1000$ on parts i didn’t need then when all else failed, i unplugged this MAF, and it actually started and ran beautiful/but showed “Trans-fasil-safe” with maf code. They obviously gave me a defect one ? but for all my troubles, they should send me a BRAND NEW working one- FREE OF CHARGE plus PENALTIES for re-selling a defected or a returned product. Shame on them. I would say Just buy from a reputable company, U can get a euro/delfi or cardone for 150$ and SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHES I JUST WENT THROUGH !
