I had to replace the passenger side door lock actuator on my 2014 Scion TC and didn’t want to pay hundreds of dollars to purchase this part from the dealer. I took a chance on this one just to see if it would work. I’m glad I did, it has been installed for about a week now and works perfectly. Installation took me about an hour and the only bad thing I can say is that the plastic piece at the bottom busted when I opened it to place the wire in it, however, it wasn’t a big deal. I just taped it back up with electric tape and since the part is hidden within the door, it’s no harm done. I also had concerns that it wouldn’t line up correctly with the door hook like others who have bought similar parts. I can say for my 2014 Scion TC, everything lines up as with the old original OEM part. I’ve had no issues with opening or closing the passenger door and am 100% happy with this purchase!!

Latches are flimsy and don’t snap into place very well but so far the part is doing it’s job. Anyone can replace a door actuator if they watch a few videos. Price was very fair. Would recommend to anyone unwilling to pay the stealership what this would cost. Seriously, not to hard. Took about half an hour. Fit my 2013 Toyota Corolla L.

purchased this lock accuator a few weeks ago and it works great. when installing the new part, be sure to place the accuator rod back into the new part. i made the mistake of forgetting to do so and closed the tundra door only to find out that i couldn’t open it again since the rod was not in the receiving socket of the accuator. the accuator rod is the piece that operates the door latch. i was fortunate and able to slightly release the door and then get the door latch to fully release. i disassemble the door again and placed the accuator rod in the right position. if you do not put the rod back in place you will be locked out. this requires a trip to the dealership for a fix. an expensive proposition. you tube has a few videos that will help understand how to propertly disassemble the door, remove the old accuator, and to install the new accuator with the rod.

Was easy to install but have a slightly fitting issue. If screwed the torx bolts to specifications, the latch will not unlock properly. Had to loosen the bolts a little bit. Hopefully it will lasted.

Thank god I found this in Amazon my 4 runner 2014 two front doors got damage and I took it to the guaranty and guess what 500 per doors …. and let me tell you this is a life saver super easy to asamble and soo worth the price I have them install almost 3 moths and haven’t had any problem

This seems to work fine. It does fit, but as others have stated, in certain vehicles (mine is a 2009 Rav 4) it is slightly off alignment, which causes the door to stick as it opens, and then jiggle and wobble as it opens. To me, it’s entirely unacceptable, but to others it’s probably not even noticeable. i absolutely kept it, and would not consider sending it back, but i will never stop until i figure out how to fix it.
i hammered the latch bar thing, (that’s connected to the frame, that the lock actuator hooks on to) downward a bit and it helped but only a tiny bit. i get the feeling any further hammering wouldn’t help it more. maybe some lube or something. idk.
