As Expected, Thank you!

Works great easy to install. So far it has improved fuel delivery to the carb in my motorhome no more vapor lock.

My use for this product may be a little out of the ordinary. I bought it to pump gasoline from the gas tank on a big car that I have into the gas tank on an electric generator that I use when the power lines go down durig big storms. I bolted it down to a small metal plate and mounted a switch on the plate near the pump. I wired it to a cigarette lighter plug and about 20 feet of wire. Now I can drop the suction hose into the tank and pump directly into the generator. I tested it and it seemed to work well even being able to suck the gas up out of the tank. The flow rate was adequate. I don’t think that you will find a less expensive way to do this job. My purpose in building ths little pump system was to avoid having to cart 5 gallon gas cans back and forth to the gas station when I have to run the generator for a week at a time. I will just drive the car back and forth, and fill the generator directly from the car.

Great value while it works. Reading through all the reviews gives it about a 20-25% failure rate within a few weeks of installation.
I have an antique car which doesn’t have gas in the tank, but which I do start up once a month in the garage, so I made up an external pump setup using this pump for supplying non-ethanol gas to the engine for its short monthly run-up.
I’ve been using a modified Terrapump TRFA01 AA-battery powered portable pump, but it’s starting to leak and the price of a replacement keeps steadily climbing, so now I’ll get to see how long the inexpensive Autobest pump lasts.
Update 12/24/17:
After 2-1/2 years of occasional use, it still works like when it was new. Also works well for transferring fuel and for emptying fuel from gas tanks for maintenance and/or seasonal storage.

This has been an awesome pump. I put it in my old truck when the mechanical pump failed. Once I replaced the mechanical pump, it was very easy to remove.
One of our cars got a bad tank of gas (car wouldn’t start after filling it). Used this pump with great caution to completely drain the 11 gallons.
I then recently used it to pump old fuel out of a truck and a car, both which had been sitting 5-10 years. Worked fantastic, and the pump still continues to work! This pump has been a workhorse for all the “dirty” jobs that just need to get done and it doesn’t need to be anything fancy.

My camshaft lobe for my mechanical pump on a 1954 F134 Willys Jeep motor finally wore out so I had to figure out someway to put fuel to the carburetor that didn’t involve using a mechanical pump. This one is the right psi and once it was hooked up it worked perfectly. I hooked up a separate switch to turn it on that only had power with the key turned on. This way I can turn off the fuel pump switch and even if someone had the key and tried to steel the Jeep they couldn’t unless they knew how to turn on the fuel pump.

I used this to fix a Cub Cadet LT1050 which was stalling and would only run with the choke partially engaged. It worked like a charm, in fact the mower is running better than it ever has even when new.
So, why only 3 stars? This unit runs hot and I have doubts about how long it will last. It’s an impulse pump which is OK but it never shuts off. All of the units I’ve used in the past had a pressure switch inside them and when the carb bowl was full and the carb float shut off the fuel intake, the pump would stop running until the fuel was used, then start up again until the bowl was full again, then repeat as needed. This unit just keeps pulsing non-stop, which could be why it gets so hot. The power wires are only 4″ long; if they’d been 10″ long I could have used the pump without having to extend the wires. The power wires are two different (non-standard) colors but there is no polarity indicated in the instructions. I connected the one that was closest to Red in color to the +12VDC and the other wire to the mower chassis and it worked but is this right?
UPDATE: 10/21/2016. Well, it lasted just over a year and quit. It’s inexpensive enough I guess so I replaced it with the same model. We’ll se how long this one lasts.

I purchased this electric fuel pump to remove fuel from my boats fuel tank. Worked like a champ. Just make sure all your connections are air and fluid tight. I had a hose clamp that was sucking air and it took me about 10 minutes to realize that this pump wasnt a piece of s*** and that I was a moron that did not check my connections. I had also had many beers. Doesnt matter, pumped worked. I wish everything I dealt with worked as was expected.

The pump failed the very first time I started the vehicle after installing it. There was a brrrr noise and it died. Thank goodness Amazon stands behind it’s promise to make things right. Some sellers should remember that before posting anything for sale. The Customer will give you a bad rating on anything that’s defective, poorly built, or just plain junk. This was just plain junk. After 45+ years of working on my vehicles I had a feeling the moment I opened the box and looked at it. But I put it on my 1977 Ford F-250 Pickup and it failed after the first startup.

Installed on my 1961 Alfa Romeo with a 2 barrel carburetor. Supplies plenty of fuel and was easy to install. Does make a loud clicking noise when it’s first turned on but quiets a bit after pressure is established. I’m very satisfied and will likely purchase another for a different old car.
