If you have a Mercedes, you may know that the electronic shift module has a plastic lock that releases the shifter out of park only when you press the break. Well, that part is known to crack leaving you unable to shift out of park. The dealer will tell you to replace the entire module. But then, you’d still have the plastic part that can crack again. This is a metal part that replaces the plastic part so you never have to worry about it cracking again.

Worked flawlessly!

old part broke right in the middle. It was plastic. This part is updated in aluminum. Very easy to install. Make sure you keep the small c-lock. this does not come with the c-clip or the small rivet. Depending on which variation of shifter you have they may be necessary. Make sure the top piece is 11mm for this version. other versions utilize the 5mm. Very fast shipping. Thanks

Make sure that this is the correct model part for your vehicle. Mercedes-Benz has three versions, two 11mm (w/ or wo/offset) and one 5mm pivot hinge. The earlier models typically use the the 11mm w/ Offset, while the facelift models typically use the 11mm w/o Offset (Flush). The 5mm may be encounter on late production vehicles. Remember that the shifter unit itself may have been replaced with a different unit at some point, so the only sure way to determine the correct part is to remove the broken one first. I highly recommend removing and identifying the broken part prior to ordering a replacement. Also, please note that this is only the replacement lever. No replacement return spring, c-ring, or pop rivets are included, so you will need to reuse the original components and new rivets.

I got it for my 2005 S600. It works fine, strong build, very clean product. I think this will last for ever.

This product worked well and has been preforming as well as the stock piece. (Wasn’t the issue in my car but for the price and piece of mind I replaced it anyway)

I hardly ever write reviews as I feel people already do a great job of reviewing the good and the bad. In this case I was just so thoroughly blown away by how amazing this part is. The quality and craftsmanship are just top notch. I cannot believe Mercedes didn’t put something like this in their cars in the first place. Your best bet will be to remove the old broken part first and compare it visually and dimensionally to this part. There’s no way you can find the correct size for your car by model, year or vin.
