While this is the best gasket I’ve seen for this valve cover, it’s still a BMW. So far I’m happy with it. But in general it will most likely leak. Bad design on BMW. Not the gasket maker.

Product is not for M56 engine!

This fits the plastic valve cover that bmw used.
My valve cover is warped between the bolts as is common on this engine.
Consider finding an aluminum valve cover if you can.
BMW installed aluminum covers on the California cars.
The new gasket may not stop your leak.

Liked it lasted a month then started leaking pulled it off and thing is hardened and cracked all over don’t buy just go to an auto parts store and buy a quality one

Product worked for a very short time. Repeated install procedure and repeatedly had the same results. Material is just too thin. Ordered new gasket which was much thicker. This is a knock off product that is most definitely not up to today’s automotive standards. This product should be removed from Amazon.
