This cap is useless, it leaks right the way. I compared the old gasket (11 years old) on my car with the new one that came with this cap, surprisingly the old one was thicker and much softer!

The oil cap from the factory for the M54 engine is a squared design. On cold days, the corners of the cap can really bite and stubbornly refuse to twist off. This nee engine oil filler cap cover has a nice handle and easily twists on the vertical axis. It fits the oil intake on the M54 engine for the BMW e46, and i tightened it and pulled on it a few times, it stayed in place. My problem with it is all the space between the bottom of the cap and the top of the manifold. Not sure if that would create a vacuum leak or not. I’ll update if there are any issues.
