  1. Hussin

Motorhome ran great after installing the new ignition coils. Completely eliminated the rough running engine when trying to accelerate gradually at highway speeds!

Big thanks to Michael B and Bigleager for their reviews. We were having the exact same ‘vibration’ issue described by Bigleager. After replacing all 10 coil packs the vibration was completely gone.

    Happy Campers 😊😊

Great Coils on Plug!, Amazon said these DO NOT FIT MY 2000 FORD F-250 6.8L V10, These DG508 with Curved Boots ARE THE CORRECT COILS. I installed these with no problems! Just a dab of dielectric grease and you good to go. These also have a lifetime warranty so keep your receipt. They were such a good price, 10 for the price of one Motorcraft COP. Now please don’t give me a thumb down, because if I were rich or for that matter even just well off, I would buy everything Motorcraft. Unfortunately I live paycheck to paycheck, and need to save every dollar. Thank you for reading my review, I hope I helped one person. Good luck with your truck, remember if you don’t know how to fix something go to youtube and watch every video you can on the subject and you’ll get a better understanding. God bless…

    EDIT: April 5, 2019
I had check engine light come on and engine was running bad, missing. Brought it to my local mechanic he said I had two bad coils. I removed them and contacted the seller. They messaged me back the same day and said send them the coils. I mailed them on Monday and by Saturday I had my replacements. Thank you very much, I will be purchasing all my coil needs from you, Again Thank you, MH

  3. Curtis Cole

just got them look good i will update when i put them on the engine and see how good thay work

  4. Steve

It has been 6 weeks since I installed 10 coils in my excursion. Im not facing any problems.

  5. Mike H.

The price was great for my application..These coil packs are a temporary solution to troubleshooting a random cylinder miss..If they last 2 months,i would be happy with them as they have done what i needed them to do..The rubber boots dont appear to be of the best quality, maybe they are i will see in a couple of months!….They came with grease packs as well,in a nice little box individualy wrapped.

  6. Mike B.

I have a 2001 Fleetwood pace arrow motor home with the Ford 6.8L V10. I purchase these coil packs because I had two original motorcraft coil packs go bad. These coil packs are an exact replacement for my engine. After installing the coil packs the engine ran perfectly. I have approximately 1700 miles on these coil packs with out any misfires or codes showing up in the computer.

In the next month I will be putting approximately 5000 miles on the motor home for summer vacation. I will update the status of these coil packs after my trip. I do have several spares in case any of these coil packs should fail.

It is extremely important to replace the spark plugs while replacing the coil packs. Because of the location of the spark plugs on the top of the engine they are prone to corrosion. I believe that the original motocraft coil packs failed due to moisture and corrosion in 3 of the 10 spark plug wells. My motorhome has approximately 75000 miles and the original coil pack rubber seals had deteriorated from heat and allowed moisture into the spark plug well. One of my spark plug wells had actual standing water in it.

It is critical to blow out any debris from the spark plug well before removing existing spark plugs. It is also critical to spray some WD40 in to the well and allow it to soak for several hours before removing the spark plugs. Ford V10 engines are notorious for having corroded threads and issues removing spark plugs. The heads on Ford V10 are made of aluminum and Ford only taps 5 to 6 threads into the aluminum to hold the spark plug. If you have excessive corrosion or over tighten a spark plug during installation you are almost guaranteed to destroy the threads in the head of the engine. In this case you will have to tap out the aluminum head with a kit that you can buy from a local auto parts store and install a new sleeve. Follow these instructions and take your time and you should be happy with the result.

UPDATE: I now have 15,000 miles on these coil packs without a misfire. This year I drove from Chicago to Traverse City, Marquette, Hancock, Carbondale, Sandusky, Iowa City, Wausau, Louisville, Elizabeth Town and back without a problem. I will keep everyone informed as I plan on putting another 5,000 miles on the old bus in the next few months. What a deal for $45.00.

Update: I now have 20,000 miles on these coils packs without a single failure. I hooked my engine code reader up this time to verify the engine is running smoothly. No codes or misfires detected. If I have a failure at this point, I got my money’s worth. I will write another update after I place an additional 5K on the engine.

Update 11/2022: Now have 28000 miles on these coil packs and still going strong. No miss fires or failures.

Update 01/2025: Now have 51,000 miles on this coil packs with no failures. I just completed another spark plug change and the coil pack rubber sleeves are still in excellent shape. I have three kids in college and drive from one tailgate party to the next with conference. I still have a second set as a backup, but haven’t needed to use them.

  7. SP

Product worked like a champ. Truck has 160,000 miles.Coil pack was original part never changed out. I was pleasantly surprised all reviews were good gave it a shot it worked.

  8. SP

No check engine lights. I guess it works and installed like it was supposed to

  9. Mike B.

So there we were, 1200 miles from home and our 2001 motorhome had developed a bad misfire on what feels like probably one cylinder. No codes, idled fine, only misfired under load.

It felt like an ignition issue, but without the benefit of proper diagnostic equipment, I had to make an educated guess and keep fingers crossed.

Because of the notorious issues with spark plugs on these years V10, I didn’t want to mess with the plugs while traveling unless it absolutely the was a last resort.

‘Didn’t want to blow a ton of money on OEM coils only to find they were not the issue, so ordered these inexpensive coils which were delivered the next day. Installed them, and luckily this cured the issue. Runs great now!

I am giving 5 stars because they do work perfectly (right now). I have reservations though, because at the end of the day they are still cheap Asian copies. Will they still be working 20,000 miles from now? Experience tells me not to trust them. If they were in a vehicle generally operated close to home I would probably take my chances. In a vehicle that is almost never operated close to home? I will probably replace them with OEM when I get home.

  10. Amazon Customer

As most people who are working on a 4.6, 5.4 or 6.8L ford triton know you get one coil breaking down you usually end up replacing a few before you get back to smooth operation again. I had a P0300 in my 1998 E350 van with 6.8L and no good cylinder misfire ID available. after pulling my hair out swapping coils around I found this deal and pulled the trigger, just replaced them all along with new Motorcraft Platinum plugs and our van runs like new even with 241K on the old motor. Ive logged 2500 miles in 3 weeks and no issues at all!
