Although the coil isn’t listed as a replacement for a Mini, it’s exactly the same, with the exception of the second wire, which goes to a ground. It puts out a fierce blue spark, and my bike started on the first kick. Don’t buy a used 50 year old coil off of eBay. This is the one you want, and it likely will work on most Yamahas of that era.

With a crimp set and some wire I modified this coil to work on my Yamaha 400 Special II. Just wire it in the same configuration as old coil. Works beautiful!
