- Cut an 85mm (3 3/8″) hole in the panel and allow a clearance of 70mm (2 3/4”) behind the panel to fit the gauge. Put the gauge in the hole. Using M4 nut and C type bracket to seal up the gauge.
- For the GPS antenna, you should securely fasten it in the flat position, black side upwards, preferably outside (or inside front windscreen) so that it has a clear view of the sky to pick up satellite signal. Connect the antenna cable to socket in the back of the gauge. And do not cut cable.
- It takes about 30 seconds to get signal in the first time, but less than 3 seconds after that. It gets quicker under a clear view of the sky. Sometimes if signal is missing, pls. reconnect all wires and restart it.
- It shows current speed and course(not odometer and trip meter). If you need black faceplate, pls. search for ASIN B0752WGCGC or B0752SQCMR

Some people have said this isn’t really waterproof, I don’t know about that as we mounted it to a removable piece on our boat so it’s never really out in the weather.
It is accurate and matches the gps speedometer on my phone

It’s hard to find a GPS speedo with a “slow range” and this one was perfect. Have a 44 foot trawler that does 13 knots max, so 0 – 15 is perfect. Like the analog display too easy and simple. Make sure you are nice and slow in the no wake zones. Easy install, hole saw, U clamp and 2 wires. Picks up the satellites as soon as I back out of the covered slip. Antenna installed under dash shooting through fiberglass, works great!

This item is advertised and a waterproof marine speedometer. This one filled with moisture the first time it rained. I can’t imagine the electronics inside will work for long. It won’t much matter because you can’t see the dial anyway.
