This is a good fuel pump we put it in a 2003 Tahoe back in September with no problems other than the the fuel gauge wasn’t working at first so we had to drop the tank again luckily we hadn’t put it all back together. My advice would be to mess with the plug on it I think the third try we finally got everything to work properly I would suggest cleaning the plug with something before putting it back together. I would definitely buy this again very affordable and holding up well

The pressure, fitment, and install are without any issue or complaint. The only issue I am having is that the gauge meter malfunctions. This could be a grounding issue, but it was working before replacement. Still not sure if to blame the pump or it is external.

My sister’s car sputtered and died on me a couple of times when I was driving it last year and at first I thought it was just low on gas so I managed to get it to a gas station and I put in half a tank and still couldn’t get the engine to run for more than 30 seconds.
I had already suspected that her fuel pump or possibly fuel filter were causing problems with the car, we had already cleaned the fuel injectors and were still having a rough start up (had to pump the gas pedal while turning the ignition key to get the engine to catch and start up) so I bought a new fuel pump.
Removing the car’s fuel tank was not fun because we had to transfer all that gas out of the tank and had to work around her spare tire which is mounted in such a way that it covers it and the crank was broken so we couldn’t move it out if the way…but that’s not the pumps fault.
Anyway when we finally did get the fuel pump installed and put gas back in the tank the car started up easily, ran smoothly and hasn’t died at all since. We installed it over a year ago, my sister has put a lot of miles on the car since then and it’s still running fine.

50/50 chance any part you order from Amazon will actually fit, this time I won. First try yielded incorrect pump so read the reviews first, this one actually DOES fit 02 GMC Flex fuel 5.3.
