- Easy to follow wiring diagram simplify wiring your electric fans. RED to 12VDC positive battery terminal, COFFEE to Fan Positive, BLACK to Sending Unit, GREY to Ignition per wiring diagram. Direct replacement part fits 10, 12, 14, and 16 inch cooling fans. For dual fan wiring, you would need two of this relay kit
- Temperature switch turns on fan approximately at 185 Degrees and Off at 175 Degrees. The temp sensor has a 3/8 inch pipe thread, and a 1/2 inch adapter included. Please note: you need to run a 160 degrees thermostat when running this kit with this temp switch. If you got a thermostat above 160 degrees (say 180 thermostat) , your engine will not get cool enough for the fan to shut off
- This electric cooling fan kit comes with everything you need, includes 40A relay, wiring harness, temperature switch, 3/8 inch to 1/2 inch adapter, inline fuse holder, 20 amp fuse, 1 spade connector for the temp sensor, 4 ring terminals and 2 wire connectors
- The temperature switch supplied with this kit is OE style to mount in the cylinder head of the engine or any water jacket if needed. The temperature switch MUST be grounded through the threads to the engine in order for it to work, and the engine MUST be grounded
- This relay kit is enough to run medium profile or low profile electric fan. For high profile fan, you can use ZOZOMOTORS heavy duty relay kit P/N 30247. Or crimp/solder bigger wires yourself for pin 30 & 87 to carry enough load for the fan (10 gauge wire – 30 Amps). Recommend to use dual fan relay kit to run dual fan set up

So wiring is wrong, you wire the gray/trigger wire to a positive to turn the relay ON unless you wire it backwards with red being the ground and black being positive then you’d be able to run it on the engine block using the thermal switch included
I’m using a toggle switch to turn the relay on so hopefully it doesn’t burn my Jeep WJ down and lasts a long time I’ll make sure to wrap it up and keep it away from any moisture and dust, i dont go through mud its a daily driver and occasionally i go on trails in the Rocky Mountains so we will see how it works I’ll update this review if it ends up breaking 🤞

Wired it all in according to the instructions and doesn’t work. Triple checked it was wired correctly and still did not turn in fans. Probably defective relays. Got power to then but not to the fans

Works well

I put about 2k miles on it so far, thermal switch is very accurate at 175°, still working great. Relay is holding up fine with 2 fans on it.
I had a spare circuit so I didn’t use the fuse holder or the crimp connectors.
