Use these for a lot of different applications in cars. USB ports, cigarette lighter plugs, onboard air compressor, auxiliary lights, etc… After having people leave things on or plugged in and waking up to a dead battery, relays are worth the time and money to install.

These would probably be fine around 20 amps sustained, but I’ve had 3 of these go bad in 3 months in a sustained 32amp circuit (checked with an ammeter multiple times to make sure I wasn’t shorting). If you’re anywhere north of 25-30 amps on your circuit, I would grab something higher quality from a reputable brand.
