the glue used to fix the filter sides is overflowed and has to be removed to make the filter fit to my car

Installed this on a Ford Fusion 2016.
It should work for any Gen 2 Fusion 2013-2017. (Among other cars of course)
Filter went into its mount easy as can be. Getting to its mount is a bit tricky but can by done without going to the dealer. There are plenty of guides and videos out there that show you how to do everything. The bottom left bolt and (for me at least) the power connector where the hard parts to do.
Also when closing the mount’s cover make sure you bend it downward and then in!
For about 10 bucks this is a great replacement filter over the OEM.

Ecogard XC10011 Cabin Air Filter. The supplied instructions do not really help for this car, very vague generalized. I watched a YOU TUBE video for my specific car and once I found some hard to find screw to remove the job went smoothly.
Fits perfectly. Just be thorough to remove any debris that is inside the enclosure, you’ll have some that is on the top of the filter as you remove the old one, clean the inside of the box and install the new one and put the parts back with the screws , your done. I got 40k mile out of the OEM, I expect this to do similar. The interior smells fresh again!

This cabin filter is easy to install, very sturdy, and very affordable.

So far so good, seems to be a great fit and time will tell if it holds up as well as it should. Its an air filter, not much else to say.
If your curious if you should replace this yourself i say go for it, its super simple and youtube will have plenty of videos to help you out. You do need some basic tools to get started.
Fit a 2016 Ford Fusion with a v4 2.5l perfectly.

This fit perfectly on my 2013 Ford Fusion. I knew I was due for a change, so I decided to order this one. This is definitely a much better price than what you’d pay in stores like AutoZone or Oreilly’s ($20-$25).
This fit in perfectly when I installed it. I had to do some wiggling and pushing to get the last bit in at the end, but it fit tightly like it should.
If you have a Fusion, you know the pain of installing these, but for $13 and your time compared to $50+ at a shop or dealer, it’s worth it.

I put this filter in my 2014 Ford Fusion. Cabin air filters are very similar no matter what brand you get, and they’re not performing mission critical tasks like the engine air filter, so I was happy to find one for the very inexpensive price of $10. Overall, it’s a good filter, however the one downside is that the filter is relatively flimsy so it was kinda difficult to push into the filter housing without the filter crushing under the pressure. I’d still rather save the $10 and have to fiddle with it for another 30 seconds though.
