Focus st mk3 –
I dont get it… look at it, it is used and sold as new? Or why it look like this? Im expecting quality, it is not cheapest ones.
Mikaila –
I use these year round in Minnesota for my focus st daily/autocross car along with ATE brake fluid. They work very well in extreme negative temps and are excellent on the autocross track. They are performance pads and have a very aggressive bite once they have some heat in them. They do cause significant dust. Occasionally they will squeak under very light to light braking(usually when hot) they are overall very quiet for performance pads . I have had them 2 years and they show minimal wear.
Austin Rexinger –
I read a ton of great things about these pads and was excited to run them on my Ford Focus ST, but was disappointed when I opened the box and only 3/4 pads were present. It didn’t help that my car was already on the lift and I had one of the calipers disassembled. Shame on me for not checking first, but EBC has a strong reputation so I didn’t think twice.
Normally I wouldn’t mind returning an item, (I did receive a full refund), but in this case it was an inconvenience that set me back a few hours and caused me to miss a track day event.
Furthermore, when I went back to order new pads I discovered that they were out of stock and it would take at least two weeks to ship! This was not an option for me because I had two track events coming up in the next 10 days. I was really excited to feel the performance of the pads but I never had the chance to.
I ended up going with Hawk Performance HPS pads because they too had good ratings, and more importantly, shipped to me in two days. I have had success with the Hawks including three victories in my autocross class. They perform great in short stints like autocross, but also during longer sessions like time attack and track days. The only downside that they tend to squeal when they are cold.
