Nice brake pads for daily driven cars. Quiet and low dust. Easy to install with built in shims.
SUBDSGNR –
I’ve been using these for a few years now, and the performance is great. However, it’s not so great to overcome some of the drawbacks.
Pros:
-Increased friction over OEM pads
Cons:
-Despite being “low dust”, these still dust moderately
-After a few years of use, the dust has reacted with the OEM wheel clear coat and paint to take it off. **This is a major drawback** It appears to occur when the dust mixes with water, and despite my frequent cleaning of my car and wheels (not allowing much time for the dust to sit there), it still happens.
– Break-in instructions MUST be followed. There is no slack like some less aggressive pads; these will “warp” or create intermittent spots on your rotors that result in vibrations.
Like many people, I enjoy “upgrading” my vehicle. However, I would do this over and go with a more OEM-style pad if I had the chance.

If you’re forking out $80 because you think these pads won’t completely cover you’re runs with brake dust, think again. I bought the because I thought they’d keep my black rims clean. I have 3,000 miles on these brakes and they make my wheels look like I super glued some kingsford charcoal briquettes into my calipers.
EC –
Performance-wise these pads perform as expected on my IS350.
I see lots of people complaining about the dust. Yes, they generate about as much dust as OE pads. BUT, the EBC dust is much easier to remove. Blasting the OEM dust with a hose barely makes a dent, whereas MUCH of the EBC dust washes right off. Of course you’re still gonna have to scrub your wheels, but not to the extent as with OE pads.

Great breaking power, I feel comfortable doing spirited driving but the black dust that these things give off is ridiculous! It defeats the purpose of me buying ceramic pads to reduce dust when I could have bought Yellow Stuff for better performance! The brake dust is awful, it’s definitely just as bad as Toyota / Lexus OEM pads. Update – After about 2000 miles on these pads they squeak in reverse even when the pads are hot, I am really disappointed. Is there a warranty on these?
Amazon Customer –
Expected a lot less brake dust but otherwise very good.
JC –
Quietest ceramic pads ive tried. Low dust and no noticable fade…the hotter they get, the more you are inclined to trust them. Perfect on my modded is350 dd/weekend track
Stephen Castillo –
Best bite of any ceramic I’ve tried. Much better on dust than the stock pads on my 2014 Lexus F-Sport.
Robert –
But for the front pads for Lexus IS 350’s they’re SUPER grabby. There is no gradual slow down on these. They grab HARD. This would be ok for tracking the car but NOT for easy street driving. I had to take them off. Still love and trust all EBC products though, and will always continue to use EBC for as many of my jobs as possible.
