I bought this charger hoping to charge a new LifePO4 battery I purchased. I connected it and seemed to be working great and charging the battery. I came back hours later and it’s Stuck on OFF (no power button) I’ve tried unplugging and plugging back in and pressing the MODE button but still no change.

The leads to the battery are short, very short. You have the charger sitting on top of the battery or hanging on the side. When attached to a deep cycle battery, it said full. When I attached my other smart charger, it was charging up.
Let’s see how it performs in the future. A bit disappointing.

I have not yet used this battery charger since I do not need any batteries charged yet but will base this review upon my first impressions of it and the design and quality. From a quality perspective I am not impressed since it is lightweight and made out of hard plastic or ABS material. Both the power cord and cable clips are permantly attached to the unit which makes for awkward storage and the feet on the bottom have no rubber pads so it will slide around. There are intake vents on one side and a fan exhaust vent on the other side to prevent overheating. I would probably not use this to charge a dead battery but it should work ok as a trickle charger. The power cord is a bit loose where it connects to the unit and the plug is only a 2-prong which is fine for trickle chargers but not very ideal for a main battery charger. There is a sequence of steps this unit goes through when it is used which I honesly do not know if it needs to or if it is just overkill. The large digital display is nice as well as the other informative displays on the control panel. As with other small battery chargers there is no power switch. The frame on this unit should have some silicone or rubber areas on it for better gripping and handling since it is very slippery just being hard plastic. This device seems to have lots of bells and whistles on it which I don’t think are needed and just makes the operation of it a bit confusing. Having only a 2 page user manual does not help matters either although it does inform of the different displays available on it. Overall, this device might work great which I hope it does but since I have not yet tested it out I cannot recommend it to others per this review.

I’m not an electrical engineer, so keep that in mind. But, while it does seem to charge, it also seems to “sorta work” and “sorta not”. I don’t really care for the lack of “is it done or not” that I found in this one. I’d hooked it to a couple of batteries and I couldn’t tell whether or not it actually was charging or when it finished. Thinking that maybe the battery was dead, I tried it’s recovery mode for the 24 hours the manual suggested, and still nothing. I don’t know if I just got a defective one or not, but I didn’t have any success in recovery mode and had a difficult time in telling what the charger was doing.
UPDATE:
The seller contacted me in a pretty reasonable amount of time and offered to get me a new unit (or a refund). I really appreciate it when sellers work to resolve their customers’ concerns and problems with products, and I really wished more sellers took that initiative. As a result of getting the new battery charger, the seller’s quick response and willingness to correct this problem, and the fact that this new battery charger works, I’m bumping my review from 2 stars to 4 stars. I do wish that their instructions were much better, especially in describing what the limited screen messages mean when it quickly cycles thru 3 different messages/symbols, but after a bit of trial and error and deciphering, I was able to figure it out. Thanks for the quick and productive response!
