The thickness was okay but the sheerness was also appropriate. My 98 Honda Civic ex had a loose bearing and this was an exact replacement. My car no longer smells like brake lining and drives smooth with less pull to one side. Remember to install the backing plate or you will be unhappy with your work.

Everything was installed following instructions from the factory service manual, using a press and bearing drivers. The first bearing failed within 2mm of the hub being inserted, the dust shield folded in on itself and the bearing began to separate. I gave up on that knuckle and went to the other one, the same thing happened about halfway through installing the hub. The bearings didn’t even match. One had metal shields on both sides, one was metal and rubber. You definitely get what you pay for with these parts. The hubs look like they could be used, but the bearings are some of the worst quality I’ve ever seen.

Installed it on 98 Honda Civic and still has play on bearin been on 2 weeks don’t think it will last iwill try Tonkin next I thought Detroit axle good name maybe just bad bearing

After 208,000 miles on the original hubs, I replaced them with these. they roll smooth and do not wobble so I cant complain. I do like that it comes as a kit with everything (clip, bearing and axle nut) as long as you are capable to do the job, this is perfect
