Item arrived on expected date and in good condition. Although the part is about 1 inch longer than the original, no issues on fitting. Hardest part was to remove the old one since there is not enough room to slide both hand to pull out the hose. Had to adjust the clamps that came with to match correct screw holes. Much cheaper (more than 60%) than auto parts store. Highly recommended.

I like it because arrive on time, but the attachment holes do not aligned on the ones on the frame but all you have to do is slide it them and it works, no too hard to do it,after all still working good on my 2007 Toyota Highlander

  3. Ron

Seems well, are fit 2005 highlander no problem

The part worked perfectly but… It does not match 100% to my 2005 Highlander. The brackets have to be moved. I put this part over the old part. Oiled the brackets so they could slide and moved them around to match the old part. The metal tube appears to be an inch or so longer than the old one which puts the brackets slightly in the wrong place. Other wise it has the bends etc… like the OEM part. This little extra length is not a problem unless you hook it up to the hoses and then realize your brackets are not lined up with the holes. Although even at that point oil them up and slide them where they need to go. The quality is excellent and I am very happy with the repair.

1st the brackets will not line up with the holes, plus brackets are facing the wrong way. Even if you adjust it to face the correct way, the brackets will not be flush with the sub frame. The bending of the tube does not match with the bending of the oem one. You may bend it to fit but it won’t be easy as you may think because you going to need to bend almost every inch of the tube and bending the tube on the car is a nightmare. You can bend an inches or two and take it off to bend while off the car but it’s probably going to take you hours of work. I have to cut 2 inches off the rubber hose because it’s too long and the bend is also incorrect. You may use the old rubber hose, but why do that when this line suppose to fit perfectly. Mostly reviewer wrote about not fit and they have to make adjustment but they gave it 5 stars anyway. Probably because it’s so cheap at $32. If I have to do it over again I’ll probably buy a different brand or go to a local hardware store and get the correct size steel tube and bend it myself and just use the old rubber tube.

Good buy, priced right and recommended.

This low pressure return hose was installed to replace the original 17 years old hose for the power steering on our 2007 Highlander AWD V6 SUV and came with original mounts and an improved heat shield made of fiberglass thermal cloth as the original had plastic heat shield and was the exact match for hard line and rubber hose sections. Dorman is a standard OEM replacement manufacturer and often better than Rein in regards to rubber quality, so at half the price of a dealer purchased hose, this part represents a quality and good value purchase for a car with 189k miles of camping, hauling dirt bikes, DIY project loads and family road trips! Remember to cycle the fluid by turning the wheels off the ground back and forth to get all the air out of thr steering pump and steering rack back to the fluid reservoir!

I had the slow leaking on my 2006 Highlander Power Steering return hose, rusty metal hose over the years. I checked with the local Toyota dealer, they asked for $143 for the return hose. I found this one on Amazon, it fits and the price is ~1/5

  9. Leon Chartier

This fit perfectly! No more power steering leaks.
