As usual, the plug assembly fried due to rust build up on one of the connectors. Heat melted the plug. Resistor pack was still okay, but too much rust to safely consider using again. Coat the connector tines with a dielectric grease and the new assembly should last much longer. Helps to inhibt rust and improve conductivity.

The two parts sent are not compatible. They do not pug together.

This item works just as described. It fits the opening exactly. The fan speed selection now functions again.
The only thing that I can complain about is the wire connectors. They aren’t great. I replaced 1 because it wouldn’t grip the wire. I’m going to be replacing the connectors with better ones now that it isn’t freezing cold outside. The wires are all the same color. As long as you use the old harness as the guide when you wire it up, you’ll have no problems. I’m colorblind anyway, so it didn’t affect my install since I have to do this with everything I do there color coded.
Overall, I’m pleased with the product.

Perfect replacement for 05 pt cruiser. At a fraction of cost in stores. Easy to install. My original resistor and plug had fused together where one blade connector i assume had weak connection. This will cause a connector to overheat. Highly recommend this product.
