Didn’t even need the wiring harness, handy to have if I had broken the clip, climate control in my 2000 mercury grand marquis is back to working 100%

I was impressed with how high quality the part felt. It did take some serious finagling to work my old corroded resistor out of its slot and even more to fit this one in. One purchaser said it was too small, i actually found the resistor to be slightly larger than my 94 town car’s original resistor and had to shave a little bit of plastic down on the edge to be able to fit it in. The other reviewer with a 94 town car’s review here was helpful in mentioning that the wires went in the same order as the old harness. Didn’t have to remove any hoses or drain anything, which was nice. Assuming the quality control did its job I should be good to go you

This is exactly what my 96 Lincoln town car Cartier needed. The blower would only work on high, so after splicing in the new plug, the car was good to go.
The price on this is literally hundreds less than at the parts store, so I’d highly recommend this.

Product worked perfectly, it was a pain to install but that is due to the car layout, not the product itself. I had no environmental controls and this fixed that problem immediately upon successful install in my vehicle.

I am a big fan of Dorman products and this product continued the trend. Exact fit, OEM performance without the OEM price. And, it’ll last longer than the original unit because it’s better made. In my humble opinion.

Dorman parts of old are no longer I guess.
I replaced this resistor on a neighbors 03 Grand Marquis & it had a hitch in a couple days after install then stopped altogether 2 weeks later! Amazon as good as always warranty swapped it in no time. The replacement was bad RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX! This sent me down a rabbit hole (I knew in my bones I didn’t need to do) of wiring diagrams, checking wire resistance, etc. until it was determined that it HAD to be defective. Swapped once again for another known brand starting with S & so far so good. I have to say the new part side by side looked & felt more substantial also. I’ll say again, Dorman of old is no longer I will never buy another part with that name attached.

My 2000 Grand Marquis LS had an intermittent power problem with the blower. It would run on all speeds but then shut completely off. I found that by wiggling the connector it would temporarily come on. Cleaning the connector didn’t help. I replaced the blower module and spliced in the new connector that is included.
It’s been 2 weeks now and is still working perfectly. Good product.

I was just about to order a replacement climate control unit, thinking that my strange fan speed problem had to do with the control unit itself. After more internet sleuthing, it seemed like this “resistor”, as called, may be the key to my woes. It was certainly less expensive and worth a go, so I had to try this first. I can’t say it was easy, but I accomplished the task without removing any coolant hoses, and just turning myself into a pretzel to get at one of the mounting screws. Took my time, making sure not to force things too much, and was very happy when all of the climate control functionality went back to normal. Only a month in, but in Los Angeles the AC is on pretty much all the time, and I have total control again with the fan control and speed adjustments.

The motor rotates in the reverse direction of the original motor. The motor blows but the air does not enter the cabin, it appears due to the rotation being opposite. However, the motor does spin really fast and was a good physical fit for the 1999 town car.
