scott belcourt –
It worked perfect and was so easy and actually really simple to swap out fixed what I needed it to do now it helps my truck start so much better and no more play in the tumbler like the old one had and they key don’t come out while running now. Some say a flaw on this is it’s a little sticky when pulling it out but hey it don’t bother me at all, would definitely recommend if you need a new one but this one
Richard Smith –
Replacement of the old lock was easy.

we had no problems- easy to install, arrived quick, etc. The only caution is make sure it has all the same features- acc. pos. or not, blah blah. We had a time re-installing the column covers also- be careful to note how it comes apart, etc. Ours just unsnapped but several slots/ clips have to line up exactly to re-install
Ross Mackintosh –
Worked as expected 2005 Duramax
ramona wareham –
We were sent the wrong ignition 1st the 2nd one was much better easier to install

I had parked my vehicle in our garage. I decided to go shopping and discovered that I could not turn the key. So what do you do when you have a 20 year old vehicle parked in the garage can cannot move it? I discussed the problem with a mechanic friend of mine and he told me it was likely the lock cylinder and he described how to replace it. I also searched the net for videos and found them to be helpful as well. So, a long story short, I replaced the cylinder, turned the key, put the vehicle in reverse and have my garage back.
Hired Gun –
2004 Yukon Denali. This was about a 15 minute install and works as described. Took longer to remove the upper and lower trim then to install the cylinder.

Had this new cylinder in about 4 minutes. Took longer to unhook the battery than change out the lock. Old one needed to be fiddled with for a while to get it to finally turn. Now it’s just like a new vehicle. Smooth as silk. You got a sticky cylinder? This is the part you need. Well made, shipped fast.

I had an issue on my 2004 Silverado with the key switch. Was easy to replace it with this one. It works perfectly and although not an issue for me, my old key also fits perfectly into the new switch despite the key having a very different cut. It seems any key that fits into this switch will turn the car on. I doubt anyone will be interested in stealing my old Chevy but if you’ve got a nice car, this is not the most secure switch.
