Worked very well for my jeep wrangler. Firstly, disconnect the battery as you will be tampering near the steering wheel airbag. Then you need to remove the steering column cover, which is 3 screws at the bottom which require a T20 bit. Then you have to remove the existing ignition cylinder, which is the hardest part of the process. Instead of disassembling everything under the steering wheel, you can use a thin tool to poke the silver assembly to remove the ignition cylinder. You will see a small oval opening on the silver assembly, use your poking tool to poke that hole to try and press the button on the ignition cylinder. The button will release the ignition cylinder from the assembly. You may need to poke and jiggle the ignition cylinder with the key to try and find the button to poke. There is a video on YouTube for this.
I removed the wiper switch arm (one screw on the bottom right) to get better access to poke the assembly.
Once you have the old ignition cylinder, you will need to remove the tumblers and note the numbers on each tumbler, and which slot they correspond to. Each tumbler requires a spring. You will then replicate this sequence on the new Ignition cylinder. You will need nose pliers for this part. I also added grease to my ignition cylinder which was provided in the package.
The key was struggling to go into the new cylinder, and it took a little force and jiggling for it to go all the way through the ignition cylinder, but once I put it into the car and the cylinder was in place, the key worked very well and smoothly. So if this happened to you, don’t worry, as long as the new cylinder is coded with the correct sequence, it should be fine once it’s in the car.
There is not much information on this procedure, so hopefully this is helpful to someone.

Yo la compré porque por un error de cálculo forcé de más el cilindro y pues se quebró. Así que me ví en la necesidad de reemplazarlo, afortunadamente quedó perfecto y todo bien con el cliente.

The discription is wrong does not include a key and is not pre coded for the key that is not with the lock set. does include tumblers to code the cylinder to an existing key but i need a new key as i was trying to change the key for security reasons. ended up buying a key from the salvage yard so i could code the lock to that key and have my keys with FOBS cut to match. may be usful if you want to code to your old key but not to rekey your car. what you see in the pic is what you get do not go by the description as is is wrong.

My 2013 Jeep JKUR key wouldn’t go into the ignition a bit too frequently for me, so I did some research and bought this kit. It worked flawlessly. And don’t be intimidated by the whole keying thing – it’s super simple to do if you take your time and make note of the old key tumbler markings (they all have numbers on them that you have to match with the new kit). This kit even comes with a worksheet to fill out as you re-key it (so-to-speak).
The hardest part was getting the old cylinder out of the steering column but a quick YouTube search saved me a ton of time (basically, using a pointy tool to depress the locking mechanism on the old cylinder vs. taking everything apart).
This is a great replacement that you can do yourself in under an hour easily.

Had to install in a jeep jk. Watched a youtube video and in about 30 minutes had it coded to existing key. No drama.

My ignition lock was getting a little sketchy. One day I didn’t think I was going to be able to get the key in at all.
As long as you don’t let it get so bad that you can’t get the key in this kit is what you need to swap out to a new lock cyl. You need to be able to get the original key to the ACC position to get the old one out.
