The Amazon page says this part fits a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant, but it does not.
PowerStroker –
Saw this sensor at many places for over $100! Got it on amazon for less than $50. I put it in a Mitsubishi Montero Sport and it worked great. no issues.

I have a 2003 Montero Sport and this Sensor is working great .
My transmission was not shifting right and after I installed this
Sensor everything is working right again.

Fixes the “Blinking” Neutral Light. The OEM Mitsubishi Sensor is $130. Several People have recommended not to go aftermarket, but mine worked fine. The sensor sits in a “Hollow” in the Automatic Transmission that can retain Oil or Water. So if liquid has entered you may be able to clean and dry the connector, and reuse the original Sensor. Removal/Installation requires small Metric Sockets, extensions, and Wrenches.
I cleaned the Hollow with Q-Tips before removal to prevent Crap from falling into the transmission. When I removed my faulty Sensor it had a “glob” of oil and grease stuck to it. I would bet that cleaning and
re-inserting it would fix the problem, But at this price I installed the new one.
Amazon Customer –
Fit perfect, installed it myself, unfortunately was not the problem.

I’m sure this part works, however, this is an input speed sensor for an AUTOMATIC Mitsubishi Eclipse. I made the mistake of purchasing the wrong wrong sensor. Don’t be me.

Installed this in my 2005 Mitsubishi Endeavor. The vehicle was throwing code P0715 for Input/Turbine Speed Sensor. This caused my vehicle’s Check Engine Light to come on as well as force the transmission into limp mode which locks the transmission in 3rd gear and causes the neutral light to flash 1 time per second. Little difficult to get to the sensor, but that’s Mitsubishi’s fault. It fixed my problem! Works great!
