My accent was having the well known overdrive issue where it can go into overdrive and suddenly and abruptly switch to 3rd gear at highway speeds and then all of a sudden the car stays on third gear and does not upshits or downshifts anymore until you restart the car.
I recently discovered this is also an temperature related issue, so if you have a bad radiator or coolant pump make sure to fix that first and then see if it requires this sensor to be replaced.

2001 Hyundai Accent would run for about 1 hour and would die.
This sensor would not give you Check Engine Code on most cars for what I know.
Replaced this sensor and problem solved.

2005 Hyundai Accent had a p0717 code, saying the input sensor for transmission wasn’t working. The car shifted very hard and went into a default mode where the transmission stayed in second gear. This item totally fixed my problem, transmission now shifts smooth and works as it should.
