Amazon Customer –
The end of the cable housing fitting that pushes into the latch bracket is too large. The bracket needed to be drilled to have the fitting fit. Also, the black plastic mounting bracket inside of the car is not identical but will work. The distance between the mounting holes is correct. The thickness of the plastic housing the handle at the rear hole location is twice as thick as the original, which requires a longer screw to mount it. The cable overall length is correct. And, it will work but, you will need to put extra work into the job to adapt it to this year and make of vehicle.

although 2001 is not one of the years listed, the mobile mechanic installed it without much trouble at all. He did say it is a bit different and needed a different bolt which he found in his truck. He charged me $60 labor. This replacement would have cost me $200 at the shot, but I managed it under $100.

I purchased this for $9 as a wearhouse deal, and it worked good. You will need a longer mounting bolt, for the front bolt near the handle. Also at the hood latch, the cable end is plastic, verses the steel original one and is a tight fit.
