Looked great. Great fit. Didn’t take hours to install as mentioned in one review. But after having it installed for little over a month with around four pulls it broke. The interior handle that holds the cable is where it broke at. This was on a 07 jeep SRT8. I just need to find a billit handle. The cable is still in good use. Just the handle is very cheaply made

The cable worked well. The bracket was made of plastic that is too thin. This made the cable pop out when the handle was pulled. I transferred the handle and cable to the factory bracket and now it works the way it should.

THE PART IS OKAY AND THE QUALITY IS OKAY !!, THE ONLY THING IS THAT I NOTICED IT’S MADE OUT OF PLASTIC !!, NOW WHERE YOU CONNECT YOUR CABLE TO THE HANDLE !! , THE FITTING IS PLASTIC AND IF YOU’RE NOT CAREFUL THE PART CAN SNAP SO MAKE SURE YOU GET A STRONGER MADE LATCH !!.
BUT THE PART CAME ON TIME AND THE PART WORKS PRETTY GOOD !!, I JUST ADDED TWO METAL WASHERS ON EACH SIDE OF THE CABLE THAT CONNECTS TO THE PLASTIC LATCH !! . I WOULD BUY FROM THIS SUPPLIER OR SELLER AGAIN !! .
NO ?

This aftermarket piece appeared to be a perfect replacement. Was sure to check operation of hinge hardware, spring, etc., while replacing cable assembly. Got all set up and the plastic handle area, specifically accommodating the cable end broke – first use attempt. Vulnerable design, it would appear.

Easy to install and has been a great find.

This cable was exactly what was needed. I watched a few you tube videos prior to purchase and was able to put it in the next day with no problem.

Works great. Mine broke so this was a goos price for a replacement

The mechanism is made from a pliable plastic and does not remain rigid when engaging the hood release, The cable slips out of the stop behind the handle and needs to be reseated and secured with additional effort to effect the hood release. Even after securing it, the handle slips off of the pegs and needs to be reseated also.

Handle broken after one month

The part is almost identical to the original jeep factory part. It fits well and operates correctly. Like the original jeep part, this product’s inside plastic release handle will break easily at the cable connection point if there is any resistance along the plastic covered cable caused by normal dirt or road grime. Keep the cable lubed, particularly at the under the hood release assembly connection.
