fits the led lights i bought. Low profile is what you need for led lights, high profile will not fit correctly at all. Tried two different lights in these and they fit. Yorkim 1156 57-SMD 2835 Wedge LED Cool White Bulbs,Yorkim 1156 Cree 10-SMD 50W LED White Bulbs are two that will fit these low profile sockets.
Like i said, the high profile sockets are not a good fit for led lights. The metal that goes into the socket is mm’s too short. The way the org halogen lights fit, the socket wall goes so far around the bulb when being pushed down and turned to lock in. The led’s are soldered at that point and do not allow for the extra room needed to lock in.
Plan on this part here for gm cars that have high profile sockets. Then the led lights are a good fit.
I have an 1989, what i’ve had to do to have them fit.
