Lil thick for my 03′ ford ranger 4.0 sohc
Jamie –
Got this from my Ford escape 2002. Work just like the OEM model.
TomA –
100% better than the thin gauge aftermarket clips that came with my Ford 4.0 tstat housing which are crap.
Time And Motion –
Amazon’s fitment guide states this is not the correct part for Ford’s 4.0L V6, used in Explorers, Rangers, and other applications. But it was perfect for the coolant temp sensor on my 2004 Explorer and should work on any 4.0L engine with the press-fit coolant temp sensor in the external thermostat housing.

HOLDS TEMPERATURE SENSOR TO THERMOSTAT HOUSING ON MY 2004 SVT FOCUS!
DJKing –
Worked great. I lost one trying to replace the sensor with the housing still on the truck. Hard to get on so had to order these and worked for me. 2004 Ford Ranger 4.0L

these worked just fine installing the coolant temperature sensor on a 2002 4.0 ford ranger. a few things i learned that may help someone else avoid the issues I had. first off there are two different sensors made for my ranger one is a screw in the other is a push in which is what these clips are for, so make sure you know which one is in your vehicle before you go buy the wrong one like i did (and FYI the auto motive store I bought from has a policy of not accepting returns in sensors, I had to jump through hoops to get a refund even though I was sold the wrong part)
now you will thank me later for this do your self a favor when working with these – when you are ready to try to install tie it to some fishing line because one slip up and boing it is gone and fell either down into the engine or onto the grass from where you will never find it again – i lost two of these before i used fishing line attached to them – trust me you will want to do that. clips worked fine.
