So when I installed in a 2014 F150 Platinum the cables were about 4 inches to short. I has to cut the plastic sleeves off of the old factory assembly and use them on the Dorman assembly. The cables fit into the sleeves farther on the factory which extended the cables the 4 inches i needed. Used a Dremel to cut the sleeves off the assemblies. The motors are also different and cant just be swapped due to the mounting standoff differences. Overall it worked after about a hour of modifications.

Ordered for 2011 ford F150. Fitment says it fits. The electrical connector plug is not compatible with vehicle plug. I am being charged shipping to return, even though this is not my mistake.

Plastic spool used with steel cables is a no ! no ! and result is product has a built in design failure No instructions Product failed when connected to 12 volt power supply I contacted engineer at Dorman who stated no spare parts are available for this assembly and no switch was available from Dorman. I am suffering the cost , Iam disappointed in Dorman as I’ve used Dorman products for repair for over 20 years with success. However not this time!
