This was a direct replacement on my 2013 Ford F150. Ease to install? Not difficult, just imagine the process of simply getting to it. Once the door panel was removed. And someone assisting by holding up the glass, it was easy.

I installed the product to replace an OEM window regulator that had broken the wire. I went to run the window down and it would only go down about an inch. It would run back up, but only go down to the same spot as before. Frustrated, I pulled regulator back off the window and out of the door to attempt to run it outside the door. Still would stop at about an inch down. Getting more frustrated I checked for binding or anything like that while running up and down. All of a sudden, almost by magic, it ran all the way down. I don’t know why it stuck, but it’s working now. I know some other review talked about the switch seeming finicky and I also had the same issue. However, after running the window a few times the switch seemed to straighten out. I unplugged the motor, reinstalled the regulator in the door and ran again. This time it would run up and down, but the switch was again finicky. After a few cycles of auto up, auto down, momentary up, and momentary down the switch seemed to straighten out. I’ve only had the regulator in the door for about 2 hours of this writing so time may change my views, but so far… so good.

Easy to install and the one thing to remember is to read the documentation the product has a learning procedure for the Auto Up feature. Other than that it again was easy to install and works perfectly.
