I watched a youtube video tutorial because the instructions that came with this are useless. The motor must be flipped over as others said. It fits perfect and works perfect. I’m pretty happy. Great price too.

Bought to replace window regulator in Ford Escape. Installed without too much difficulty. Everything lined up and plugged in just like it was supposed to. I have replaced several window regulators over the years in our vehicles. It is really not that hard to do (watch a youtube video first) and is so much less expensive than taking it to a dealer.

*The other reviews are correct, it does roll up a little bit slower than the factory motor.
Fit perfect, was relatively easy to install, and a decent price. This is my third regulator to go out on my 2009 Ford Escape. The first two I had replaced with a shop and spent more that I would have liked. After doing some research, I figured it would be easy to do myself. This was the best price I found for a new regulator and I’m pleased with my purchase.

The biggest pain is getting the door apart. Once you get to inside it is easy to install and electrical is is all plug and play.
It has been in vehicle for a couple months with no issues at all. Will buy brand again if needed for another window.

The window regulator fit perfectly and works without any issues but as many reviews have noted it is a little slower than the OEM regulators. I timed and averaged the lowering and raising speed of both this regulator on the passenger side and the OEM regulator on the driver side. I ended up with 4.0 and 3.3 seconds for raising and lowering the Dorman regulator, and then got 2.8 and 2.6 seconds for the OEM regulator, for a difference of 1.2 and 0.7 seconds. It is noticeably slower when raising the window so just be aware. Both regulators were a few tenths slower when both windows were activated at the same time. I replaced an OEM rear window regulator with a Dorman regulator over a year ago and it is still operating trouble free and actually raises and lowers at the same speed as the OEM rear window regulator.

I installed this in my wife’s 2009 Ford Escape after her original broke and the window fell down into the door. This part is easy to install (<30 minutes) and fits perfectly, however the window motor is very slow compared to the OEM Motorcraft window motor. It goes down at the same speed, but I would estimate that it is about 2/3 as fast as OEM when rolling the window up. I can't speak to durability just yet, but Dorman usually has decent quality and stands behind their products. It is such an easy repair that, if it goes out in the next year, it won't be a big deal to replace it again. If you are looking to save some $$$ and don't care that the window won't roll up as fast as it did before, then give this part a try. If you can't handle a slow window, this part isn't for you.

Great price and product. It’s very same part you can buy at the dealership or parts house. I know I have bought the exact same part at both places. Except for the price, you can’t beat it.

Installed this unit on my 2008 Escape Hybrid. Great OEM quality at a low price. Was easy to install it took me about 20 minutes all together. Works flawlessly and the wife’s also happy so that’s a plus.
