Relatively easy to install if you have a little knowledge. Check out a few YouTube videos. I’m a single mom, so I DIY everything I can. You only need a couple of different driver bits to take off the door panel and Phillips head to install the mounting screws. This is the second window regulator I’ve installed. It would have cost me at least $200 more for professional installation. You CAN do this!

I recently replaced the front passenger side window regulator in my car with the Dorman 748-509, and I’m pretty pleased with my choice. Installation was straightforward, and I didn’t need any special tools, which is always a plus. The fit was perfect, and after putting it in, I could feel the difference immediately—the window moves up and down smoothly without any weird noises.
I’ve had it installed for a few weeks now, and so far, it’s holding up nicely. It feels sturdy, and I appreciate that it hasn’t given me any trouble. For the price, it seems like a solid replacement, especially compared to some of the more expensive options out there.
Overall, if you need a window regulator, I’d definitely recommend the Dorman 748-509. It’s reliable, easy to install, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

This installed relatively easily. I found a video on Youtube that showed how to replace this part without taking out the entire inner door assembly, so that saved a fair amount of disassembly/assembly. If you take out the bolts around the plastic panel in the door, that gives enough room to slide this out/in from the top. The bolts holes lined up nicely, so install was nice and clean.

Purchased same part but not from Dorman, broke 3rd time I rolled down my window. Returned part and got a second part from same company, broke within 2 weeks. Purchased part from Dorman and it works perfectly and had no problems and it’s been almost 2 months. Will always biy parts from Dorman. Good quality parts!!!

My wife and I installed this regulator on our 2014 Chrysler Town and Country. The window was stuck in the down position and was growling. The old, original one had torn itself apart. This Dorman regulator was listed by Amazon”s great system as compatible with our exact model, so we knew it would fit.
We found videos online on how to take out the old one, and install the new. Our bad one was for the front passenger side, and we had to use a video for the driver’s side, and think in reverse. The replacement took several hours, but we got it done, and it worked perfectly. I thank Amazon for their tool that insures you’ve got the right part.
