Had my Corvette mechanic install it, He had me buy it on Amazon to save over $100! on the exact part and the markup he’d have to charge me… By the way, He is a excellent Corvette mechanic and he’s extremely reasonable!!! Anyway bought this, he installed it and adjusted it in an hour, window works better than ever and no more leaks in the carwash!!! Remember my 3 star easy to install, I didn’t do it my mechanic did but for him it was a breeze!!!

– First off Dorman – there one of the OEM suppliers for most majour & minor auto manufacturers & suppliers – so the overall quality is pretty good / popping the door panel off my 30 year old Corvette wasn’t all that hard & none of securing pins broke / popping out the Bose Amp Speaker assembly – easy & I even took the time to upgrade the old tired 30 year old Bose speakers with new Kickers / after marking off were the window sat in old slider assembly – popped the window out – easy / removing the old assembly – messy & watch out for a old plastic holder – near the old motor assembly which has a zip tie pulling back the two retractor cables – kinda easy / here’s where it gets goofy – you have to adjust the two lower bolts on the new Dorman frame / one is a longer bolt – on the right & one on the left – the one on the left (the really short one) is were it gets to be a pain & I don’t understand why Dorman would use a different gauge of bolt / the one on the right has a 4mm adjustment head / the one on the left uses a 3mm adjustment head & of course – I didn’t have a 3mm socket – the other issue is – the left bolt IS about 1/4 too short – why Dorman why ??? Would you NOT Spec the same bolt length in the OEM Window frame ??? to the replacement frame / after much fiddling & I did manage to get both bolts set properly – but – Dorman – should have done a WAY better spec with the two lower bolts & at the VERY least used the same spec gauge on both bolts & set the adjustment head size to 4mm / once it was all said & done – what should been a hour – took – two – speaker upgrade aside / window does slide fine – a “little” quieter then the other side which also was replaced @ some point – but the poor bolt spec – dumb Dorman – just plain dumb …

Bought this to replace my faulty regulator in my 2003 Corvette. It feels solid and works well but I was disappointed with a few things. I paid premium so I could avoid the problems associated with Chinese brands but ended up with problems anyway.
The description specified a direct fit for my car but I ended up having to buy a harness to plug into the Dorman motor that’s included.
There is a metal stopper in the front rack of the reg. that protrudes past the felt on the pulley and it scratched my tint + window when I first used it. I was unable to adjust it so that the window clears it and ended up using a dremel to grind it down and smooth it out. Not acceptable for a “quality” product that claims to be a direct fit.
It’s slower than stock and now my windows come own at different rates.
If I have to do the driver’s side I will just buy the $50 chinese one.

Had to replace a couple bolts because they were not the same as the original nuts.

Everything was installing fine till i had to roll it down to install the glass wouldnt roll down sounded like plastic was snapping and the motor was bound up cable wasnt lined up with top left pulley and where it comes out of the regulator was a misrouted cable

Easy to install great value for the price. Only problem was the alignment with window position took several hours to be dialed into the right position.
