Dealer wanted $500 in parts+labor to replace my power window motor. Turned out I only needed the motor (regulator still works great). Only took me about an hour to take the door apart and replace the motor with the one from this kit and get it all back together.
Motor seems a little stronger than the OEM.

Assembly looked good. Fit was perfect. Instructions had no pictures or diagrams so they were next to useless. For my particular car, installation was a bit trickier than Youtube videos would indicate; not Dorman’s fault. .Assembly is installed now, Operation: so far so good. Just have to wait and see if it is still operating 5 years from now.

Item came with a one-page set of instructions (no illustrations), which was not helpful. The lift motor was attached to the regulator assembly with two plastic wire ties. The moment I cut both of them (a necessary step for installation), the cable system and spindle in the regulator assembly popped out like a cork off a champagne bottle. It would have been helpful if there was some warning about the system being under that much tension or stress. However, in all fairness, I suppose this DIY installation is meant for experienced mechanics and it probably is common knowledge. Anyway, this doubled my installation time and added an extra hour and a half since I needed the help of another person to put cables back in tension. I purchased this item based on the previous high review comments of “easy to install” “simple enough” and so on. So I’m giving it three stars because I did not experience the same as the other reviewers. But my window does now work and I did save a fistful of money over paying someone else to do it for me.

Exactly as advertised and took about 30 minutes to install. Still going strong after 6 or so months. I would recommend buying some replacement door clips before you install this because you’re bound to break some when removing the door panel or find that some are missing entirely. They’re a few dollars here on Amazon, so it’s worth it to have them around if you work on your own car.

My old driver side window regulator was going bad, so i went ahead and ordered this part so that i may replace it when needed. When my old part went completely bad, i was glad i had this on hand. Very easy to install and i saved a lot of money by not going to the stealership.

Despite this product being labeled as the “front driver side” replacement, what arrived was the regulator and motor for the passenger side window. Imagine taking an hour to disassemble your car door, only to see that the part installed in the door at present is the mirror image of the one you just took out of a UPS box. Then imagine having Amazon not refund you for the shipping cost to send a gigantic box back.
This should be a zero star review but, alas, that’s not allowed.

The regulator was perfect but the motor was not the same as mine. Mine has 6 pins and the one I received has only 2 pins
