Worked for about 25 days and I don’t have the time to rip it out and return it in time so I just lost $35. You get what you pay for man. It’s from china and it’s absolute junk.

The media could not be loaded.
I installed it into my 1997 Honda Accord SE and it works like it’s suppose to. It’s only been in for a couple of days, but not problems so far. Hopefully, I won’ ever have to go back in and replace this part again.
Updated 10-14-2016. Unfortunately, after about 3 weeks of flawless operations, the product started to make a funny noise when I tried to unlock the door. I contacted Amazon and they immediately agree to cross-ship a replacement part. Within a week of installing the new part, it began making the noise again (see video). The product doesn’t not always unlock the door on the very first push of the key fob. You will notice in the video that sometimes I have to push the keyfob 2 times. Since, I was busy with other things and the product worked for the most part, I didn’t bother contacting Amazon again for yet another replacement part. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. Spend a few dollars more and buy the OEM part.
Updated 11-17-2016. Since I was over the 30 day period where Amazon allows you to return the product, I contacted the manufacturer of the product and they made arrangement with Amazon to have my product returned and shipped me a new one free of charge. Note the manufacturer stated that you must have had purchased the product through Amazon and not a 3rd party seller, I did. The replacement product was shipped on 10-21-2016 and installed a few days later. Last night when I went to lock the door I heard that noise (see video) again, but this time when the door is being locked. In the video you will see that the noise occurs when the door was being unlocked. I cannot tell you how disappointed I am in this product. I’m going to return this product and buy the Honda branded actuator. I can’t be replacing this part over and over and over again. I’ve given this product 3 chances already. I really wanted it to work. Two stars, because I can’t complain about the customer service.

My lock now works like new! Hella hard to install but that isn’t the part’s fault. Good luck if you’re having to do this job. The window track is a pain.

Purchased this in July 2011 for my 1997 Honda Accord LX when my driver’s side door actuator finally croaked. In comparison to the OEM part, this Dorman’s cabling is about an inch or two shorter in length. Got this part to fit and connect to the door cabling its supposed to go to, but there is quite a bit of tension on the cabling. However, as of Feb 2012, the Dorman actuator is still working without any issue!
Update (7/9/2017): Just wanted to mention that its been about 6 years and I am still using this replacement actuator without any issue! Zero problems!

Out of the box and installed with no problems in less than an hour. Exact fit for 1997 Honda Accord. I would recommend this part for anyone needed a quality part at a very low price.

Failed already after a little over a month. Have some other cheap actuators half the price installed in my other accord and they are still working perfectly fine. Actuator already making noise, sometimes locks, sometimes doesn’t. Sometimes unlocks, sometimes doesn’t. Don’t know about warranty for this product but I rather not have another one in my car especially the hassle of having to take it out every couple of months because it fails again. Will probably have better luck with a used one from a junk car.

I purchased this door lock actuator (front left door) for my 94 Honda Accord back in March 2014 and it failed in early July 2014 (just under 3000 miles since I installed it). When I removed the actuator, I noticed that the small lever that moves the lock rod up and down was jammed. I disassembled the actuator and found that one of the two rubber stops inside the actuator had failed and the gears had jumped out of sync and jammed. To Amazon’s credit they were willing to allow me to return it. However I was able to repair the actuator, so, I did not return it. I replaced the rubber stop with a piece of rubber fuel line and a modification to the internal structure of the actuator housing to accommodate the additional thickness of the improvised rubber stop. That said, this product should not have failed in such a short period of time. Beware.
