I normally have pretty good luck with my purchases on Amazon….. but not this time.
It started when I opened the package to inspect the part after it arrived. When I pulled out the part I got cut on my thumb by a RAZOR BLADE that was stuck to the electric motors magnet! Why it was in there I may never know- at least it appeared clean and new.
Then I compared it to the original part. It appeared very similar and decent quality. The only major difference that I could initially observe is that the electrical lead on the new part was about 6 inches shorter than the original. When I installed it, this was a problem as the new lead couldn’t run through the original loom. I found another opening that I was able to run it through and it BARELY reached- so at least I didn’t have to splice it. I hooked up the switch to test it and it worked…. Hooray!
After I reinstalled the glass, moisture barrier, door panel, door handle and all the trim, I realized something STILL wasn’t right- the window worked BACKWARDS! When you push the switch to go UP, it goes DOWN and when you push it to go DOWN it goes UP!!! Upon closer inspection I found that the electrical connector on the new part was wired the opposite way as the original reversing the polarity to the motor…WOW! I kinda gave up at that point as I didn’t want to tear it all back down and do it all over again. So now I can roll my window up and down again, I just have to deal with the annoyance of it working backwards. I’m sure I’ll get fed up enough to take it apart again and rewire it at some point.
So to recap: 1) mystery razor blade packaged with (and stuck to) part. 2) wire lead too short. 3) motor wired backwards reversing polarity. All in all- lesson learned. If you like to trouble shoot and fix things, this is the choice for you. If you want a hassle free install, spend a little more and get a quality part from someone like 1A auto (I’ve purchased similar parts from them in the past and never had ANY issues like these). Hope this helps!!

Installed easily, Works great! No noise. I can’t tell the difference between the original part and this part.

Liked the price but not the chance of getting a regulator with the correct electrical connector Reveived two regulators with connectors that didn’t match my wiring harness.
