Great part at a great price. The cheapest I could find the motor for locally was $94. With the regulator assembly is was about $125 and had to be ordered.
This showed up on time, packaged nicely and dropped right in. This is a very easy job to do on the Maxima as it requires only a 10mm socket, ratchet or electric screw driver with socket attachment, a cross head screw driver and a flat blade tool to remove the door panel. Using hand tools only, this job should take less than 1 hour. With air or electric drivers, expect it to take under 45 minutes.
Unlike many other vehicles, there are no rivets that need to be drilled out and replaced. Just remove the screw in the front top of the door panel(hidden under a round plastic cover), the screw in the door handle(hidden under a black plastic cover), next gently pull on the door panel starting from the bottom center and working out and up, remove the two bolts holding door handle attachment bar to the door, remove the vapor seal(very carefully!), then remove the lock and handle rod protection plates(10mm) and finally, unbolt the three 10mm headed bolts for the motor, two for the window regulator assembly to window mount and the four holding the regulator in.
Repeat to install. Be sure to check the function of the motor before doing the install just to make sure it’s not dead. Mine was not and is so much smoother and faster than the one I replaced.
I’ve had great lock with Dorman products over the years and I don’t expect that to change anytime soon!

There is a yutube video that shows how to install the motor:[…]. Its rather easy, takes about an hour. I did notice that this motor is a bit louder than the factory one, but it only costs a fraction of what the dealer was going to charge me, so I cant complain.

This was an exact fit and replacement for my window motor. It installed easily.

Had to physically use a plier to pry the hooks on the motor and enlarge the holes on the vehicle side to be able to mount the regulator assembly.

My son works as a mechanic for Nissan and he tells me how often he sees after market window regulators and such. This regulator has a button on it so that you can set it open and close correctly for the auto open and auto close features whereas other after market products do not, meaning you lose that feature without it. Have had it now for a few months and is working great.
