I have replaced all of my window regulators for my 2000 Impala since I bought it. The weak point is where the cable ends are attached to the clip that imparts the up and down force of the cable to the window. The clip is made of plastic that fails after so many window lifts and the environment. I have a dark blue Impala and it soaks up the heat from the sun. This in turn cooks the plastic parts and they fail. The clip on this regulator is still the same plastic but they have add a rubber cement to stabilize it. This may help spread the force of the action over the entire clip and add some more life to it before a failure. We will see. It is an easy install for anyone that has some mechanical ability.

I purchased this Window Motor for my 2000 Chevrolet Impala. It was less expensive than our normal routes (buying from the local junkyard or OReilly’s Auto Parts). The Window Motor installed easily and works as well as the old factory installed one did before it broke. Hope this review helps some of yall looking to not pay so much for a window motor 🙂

Works as advertised! The window rolls up, window rolls down. Quiet, fits perfect, and installation is not that complicated. It’s a great do-it-yourself replacement if the factory regulator fails on you.
