Simple direct replacement for the factory regulator. Contains hardware for the window clamps in case you lose yours. Also has the upper regulator fasteners, but you’ll want to reuse the lower ones from the existing regulator.
Motor is fast and quiet.

Every Dorman replacement part I’ve ever gotten for my 2001 Suburban has worked great, and this window regulator was no exception. After 20+ years of faithful service, the OE regulator finally gave out and seized up. Fortunately, I was able to get the window in the up position before it did. When I located the Dorman replacement on Amazon, I didn’t hesitate a moment before ordering.
Replacing one of these things is not a particularly hard job, but I’ve never done it on this truck, so, I had to take a little time checking out a few YouTube videos before I got started, which were VERY helpful. The part comes with a single page of decent written instructions, but if “a picture paints a thousand words,” a good instructional video paints ten thousand. If you know what you’re doing, this job should take about a half-hour or less. If you don’t know what you’re doing, it’ll take longer, but still, not more than an hour or two.
The OE came out pretty easily; the Dorman replacement fit perfectly into its place, and worked like a charm … my window is back in action, for no more than the cost of the replacement part. Dorman/Amazon did the trick for me again. Five stars.

Rear regulator: All bolts fit the holes as it should, however it makes a noise right before it stops when rolling down the window. I also installed a front regulator and had no issues. Good product and the small noise may stop, but that does tell me their quality area does not check the entire sequence.

It was a perfect fit and worked great. I don’t know if you can go by me though because all I need is for it to stay up. I literally NEVER have a rear seat passenger. Not in 10 years anyway. My back seat is dry tool storage area. And since I can’t roll the windows down with the remote the window is never lowered. But for this price what the heck!
One thing I really ought to do is take out the back seat completely and rig up a custom tool depot.
Kudos to GM as well on this one. It’s hard to imagine a replacement scenario for a mechanism like this that would be easier. These Kat Eye Silverados are THE BOMB OF THE UNIVERSE!!!!! Assuming I don’t total it, this is the truck I’ll be driving right before they put me in the home. I’ll drop a new motor and or transmission in her without any debate. If I won a brand new decked out $70,000 pickup in a raffle I’d sell it, pay the gift tax, and pour some of it into this sweetheart and bank the rest.
