Very good product! We were unsure when we ordered this product due to the various comments. The product fit without any modifications, the harness is a perfect fit to our 2002 Honda Accord Coupe, and works like the original with the following exceptions:
1. The gear teeth seem just a little larger and the window moves a little quicker than the original. So, its good to get the motor and gear together.
You can hold the switch down and the window will automatically go down all the way just like with original stock item.
2. The motor casing seems a little smaller than the original, but the power is very good.
It helps to review the You Tube video for installation preparation. Instructions are very good, but the video helps to fine tune installation. I had my son help to make things easier in handling the glass, so as not to scratch the tint. Also, I recommend keeping the door panel with the control switches nearby to adjust the height of the window so that the bolts align with the bottom holes to detach glass/reattach glass to the long bar.
After lifting the glass out of the way and taping to the door window frame, then go ahead and remove the two bolts for the short bar and the four (4) bolts supporting the motor. When removing the old unit, I would pay attention to the wiring path. Once the new unit is aligned with the holes, put the bolts back in the reverse order(motor mount, short bar, then reattach the window to long bar starting with the bolt nearest to the front/small hole — hard to line up if the other one is attached first.
Installation was quicker than expected with two people.

I purchased this in May of 2014 to replace the regulator on my 1999 Honda Accord Coupe V-6. It is now August of 2021, 7 years later. The Dorman regulator is still working fine.
The installation was moderately difficult. There is a fair amount of work to disassemble the door to get to the point where you can replace the regulator, but that is not the fault of Dorman, and there are YouTube videos to help guide you.
I docked one star because Dorman’s cable harness was shorter than the original. That made the regulator a tight fit. I could not use the original stand-off to keep the wiring in place and had to substitute a zip tie.

I would NEVER purchase another DORMAN EVER!
My window would not roll up aligned anymore. This was a piece of Chinese junk.
Pay a little now and get OEM or pay a lot more later with a lot of headaches!

I watched a YouTube video on how to replace these things in my ’99 Honda Accord coupe. I had taken my door off many times previously to install aftermarket speakers, so the process was pretty straight-forward after that. Had a little hiccup at first, but was able to install this myself succesffully and properly. I got three quotes for parts and labor from reliable autoshops around town and the cheapest quote was $104 for the part from O’Reilly’s and $150 installation fee from a place similar to Glassmasters. The other quote was the Honda dealership for about $280 parts and labor and the third was usual mechanic shop – $320 parts and labor. Knowing this was the exact same part number that O’Reilly’s carried and was to be installed, I purchased this and installed it myself. It’s been working like a charm ever since, even faster than the passenger side door one I had replaced by a mechanic a few years ago (I think i paid around $180 parts and labor at the time). Extremely pleased. Saved almost $200 and had the satisfaction of installing it my self!

Pros: The unit works for my 2002 Honda Accord EX coupe. The Auto down works great, which is the main reason why I purchased this unit. I wanted that option to still work (apparently other units would not). During install I Did not have to adjust or change anything except for the wire harness wire tie which just had to be adjusted to reach the hole that it fit in. Came pre greased and ready to install out of the box nothing extra needed. Quality seems fine.
Cons: Does not come with a spring to assist in raising the window, which I would assume puts a bigger strain on the Motor but does work no issues. As far as the speed in comparison to Driver vs Passenger. Going down the windows were about the same, Coming up the Passenger side was about 1/2inch faster. Determined by when the passenger window was fully up the Driver side was still about 1/2inch from closed.
Recommendations during install: Once I installed the assembly I did a practice run. It did bind in a few spots, and I moved/push to allow it to go full up and down (no permanent adjustments). That was just to ensure it worked . Once I installed the window onto the brackets everything lined up just fine. I believe it’s all designed for the window to push the new assembly into position. Just make sure that the window itself sits into the Seals/Tracks on the door sides (rear/forward). If they don’t you will have a huge issue getting everything to line up and work properly.
Everything was just installed today 9/16/22 will do updates as I use it a lot more.
