I watched a video on you tube from 1a auto and it was only 10 minutes long and to the point.
I did it in my driveway in about an hour and a half. I was not rushing. could have probably done it in about 35 or 40 minutes if I was in a hurry. it was my first time so I didn’t want to f*** it up. I also ordered the one for the drivers side window after the successful install of the passenger side.
One thing I did which kind of panicked me for a minute was I had the drivers side switch set to lock the windows so when I first went to test it with the passenger side control it did not work, but once I realized it was because I had the switch on drivers side set to lock windows everything was fine. Did kinda throw me into a panic for a few minutes until I figured it out. Overall it is a great replacement part and worked fine.

Easy to install and works great on my 2008 Ford F150

A fraction of the cost of parts from Auto Zone, and it’s still working great! I installed this last year in my 2007 Ford F150, and its still going strong. It fit right in without any problems, and seemed to be an exact replacement of the OEM parts. Would definitely recommend, instead of paying double, or triple for the same part from local stores or other online parts sites.

This appears to be a fine part but it fits the REAR passenger window not the front. It needs listed correctly.

Fit was perfect, even came with extra bolts just in case. Motor runs smooth and speed is identical to factory. No drilling required – all pre-drilled holes aligned perfectly.

I put it in yesterday . Fits like new . Being inquisitive , I checked both units against one another . New one looks just as strong as original . Same metal thickness , same details in construction and dropped right into place . All bolts matched up perfectly . All parts were in box . Packaging was excellent .
I’ll write again in six months and report on durability .

So, this was the third window that dropped on my 2004 F150 XLT crew cab. The other two times I took my truck in to the “stealership” and had them fix it for me. After paying $400+ for EACH fix I promised myself that I would learn how to fix it myself. There are a number of youtube videos out there that teach you step by step how to fix them. So, I took a risk. I paid the extra for two day shipping so I could fix it on the weekend and still saved over $300. Part arrived on time. I took it slow and still had the part installed in a couple of hours. Pretty easy fix. Good product with what seems to be better parts. Fast service.
The only complaint I have is that I started calling around locally to see if I could buy the part at some of the local auto parts shops. I figured that I might have to take it back. The cheapest price I could find for a new part was $130. Well, they must have decided to stock up by buying through amazon. The price went from $85 to $92 in one day. Amazon went from 15 in stock to 2 in stock in one day. A little ironic but not surprising. Still a great deal even with the two day shipping. Worked like a charm! If you have a few tools and determination you can fix this part.

Better than OEM. Fits like the original, works better. Much better price than the motor craft part from the dealer. I have replaced 3 of 4 regulators in my F150 so far, I am replacing the fourth proactively so I am not stuck with a broken window for a couple of days…

The window regulators/motors are a complicated device (cables, pullies, motors), but an easy do-it-yourself job. Just do an internet search and you’ll find step by step instructions. But, basically, it’s just a job of removing door panel, unscrewing 5 bolts, unscrewing the two tabs holding the window, remove the old motor, put the new one in, attach all mounting hardware, replace door panel.
I’ve done this twice now (Ford had bad window regulators on at least F-150s in 2005). First time was for driver’s side, I purchased from an auto parts store. There was a small set of instructions in the box and two wire crimps. The wire crimps were due to the fact that Ford reversed the polarity of its window regulators mid-year. So there’s a potential that up was down and down was up. Sure enough, I had to snip wires and swap them. No big deal, though.
On this part, there was nothing in the box but a bagged part. Factory sealed part, but no instructions or electrical connectors. Ironically, this one worked as-is … no polarity issues. It can be intimidating to open a box and see a large, complicated part with not a single scrap of instruction. Just remember, that this is purely a bolt-on replacement.
Just be aware that the connection to the vehicle power is a two wire dongle. If the polarity is wrong, just clip the wires and swap locations.
Ford will charge you close to 180 for the part. Auto parts stores will charge you around 130, but often have coupons to take it closer to 115. Same part (same brand) as the auto parts here for 77. Unreal deal.
