This was an exact replacement for my Mitsubishi window regulator. Replacing my old regulator with this one took about 20 minutes. This one is better than the factory regulator which was already replaced once by the dealer under warranty 2 years ago.

Great product. I was quoted 150-200 to have this done at a random mechanic’s shop. For this price, I thought it was worth it to give it a shot myself. Actually switching out the motors would have taken less than 15 min, but I had a little trouble clipping the part into the wiring for the switch. Otherwise it was a super easy install. The hardest part was removing the door panel. BTW, the only repairs I’ve ever done on a vehicle was changing my lights. If you can get through that, you can get through this.

I’ve replaced two of my original window regulators in the back seat with these now and they are working great! I was also quoted about $500 to do this with the dealer. The installation is pretty easy but I am used to it now, takes me about 10-15 mins tops.

The window was stuck, and now it isn’t. Word of caution, be ABSOLUTELY sure that this is the part you need. We used this on the window, but still had issues with it. It wasn’t until we discovered that there was busted wiring in the driver side door and repaired it that full functionality was restored. That being said, I can’t be sure if it works because of the part, the repaired wiring, or a combination of the two. Hence the 4 stars.

Buy it and do it yourself. This was so much less expensive than the dealer price to have it replaced. Dealer wanted $350 per side to replace these. I opened the door panel up to look inside and it was really easy to replace. I was able to unscrew the old one, screw in the new one and put the door trim back on in about 15-20 minutes per side. Don’t pay dealer prices for labor because some book somewhere says it should take 2 hours. I can see it failing again at some point in the life of my car but thats not a failure of the product, its a failure of Mitsubishi’s design. The cable wears out but the motors are still fine. The top cable is bent at a 45 degree angle when installed and puts stress on the cable causing it to wear. I’ll buy these all day long as it was such a great savings and a quick replacement.

Other than taking my door apart, installing this part was a breeze. I was able to take out the broken module and replace it in a matter of a few minutes. It works great and actually is faster than the other older existing motors. Taking the door apart is not super easy, but if you already know this is the part you need, you probably already have the door off. Buy this and finish the job yourself before you pay someone way more after their markup and labor.
