Part was an exact match and tool was beneficial to install. Depending on what vehicle you are installing it on will depend on level of difficulty. If installing on a 1999 – 2004 windstar you may need to move the power steering pump out of the way to ensure it goes in straight. The part itself though was exactly as described with no defects.

This part fixed a terrible squeak in the engine that sounded like it was coming from the water pump. The part comes with an alignment tool that makes replacing the Camshaft Synchronizer very easy. If you have a squeaky Camshaft Synchronizer, this part should solve the problem.

Was sent a used part with broken plastic pieces and the sensor wasn’t even attached to the synchronizer and it looks like it is a used part not even a dorman. Has ford part numbers on it.

My 2001 Mustang started squeaking under the hood. At first I thought it was one of the pulleys. It’s okay to run the car stationary for a very short period of time without the belt. I did this to see if the squeaking was still present. It was. That ruled out all of the pulleys. Atthat point based on my research I determined it must be the camshaft synchronizer. I ordered this part and installed it myself. I took many pictures of placement of the old synchronizer with and without the sensor attached to make extra sure I installed this in exactly the same position with the exact same placement of the little metal tooth under the sensor. DO NOT JUST TAKE OUT THE OLD AND INSTALL THIS NEW ONE. You will screw up the engine timing. I took out the old and sure enough it squeaked in hand when I rotated it. Installed this one and the squeak was gone!!! Beautiful. Has been working for 6 months now.

Solved the ocassional squeal and stalling issue for my 2003 windstar. This was a major PITA to change becasue of the tight location but the part worked good and was a good price.
