First,I work as a professional Diesel Tech at a very large Ford dealership and bought this kit to replace the leaking up pipes on my own personal vehicle.All the parts fit perfectly and seemed well constructed.Definitely a great improvement over the originals. It also didn’t hurt that i got these at a fantastic price. I highly recommend this kit.

Installed on my 2wd 7.3l 6 spd 1999 f350, As others have said, the casting is a bit rough on the outside. Huge CHINA stamp, like they were proud of it.. Knocked a star off for that. Doesn’t affect performance, inner bore was smooth and clean, no issues with threads. I did mine at the same time as a clutch and fluid swap, so the tranny was out, plenty of workspace, even had a bolt head strip and had enough room to cut the bolt with an angle grinder. Lots of penetrating fluid everywhere!!!! Seriously, if you don’t use a whole can between presoak (12-24 hrs before starting) and during including hitting all your tranny bolts, then your gonna have a fight. Definitely bolt it all together loosely then tighten from the top down both pipes. My f350 runs 1000-1500 miles per week pulling trailers ranging from 10-15k, originals were leaking bad, swapping these dropped egt’s 2-300 while towing restored boost, throttle response, power and fuel mileage that had dropped significantly over the previous month. Been running them a month with no issues, have checked for leaks several times, none found. I believe the quality of these is at least the same as the factory up pipes, but a much better flexible design. I do not forsee any issues with them down the road. Ordered another set for my 2001 4wd f350 since it is about to get a clutch and fluid swap as well. I highly recommend going the tranny route to replace if you have the capability, only added 1-2 hrs of effort on the removal and reinstall of the transmission, and that includes a wrestling match with a spinning v clamp at the turbo…I wouldn’t want to wrestle these loose from the back of the engine bay..

Amazon has the best price on these (~40+ bucks cheaper than rockauto) and these are a very inexpensive version of the international bellowed up pipes. quality looks great and has held up so far. installation wasn’t as bad as most say it is – getting that vband on and lined up with that pin was the worst part.
no issues with bolts bottoming early or things cracking as I’ve seen others mention – solid part at a great price – fixed my mileage and performance problems of leaking stock donuts.

Good quality, fit great, did have to leave the turbo loose to get this installed. Other than missing a seal all was good. I ordered this gasket set “https://a.co/d/3WGI6nW” and all was good. Worth the cost ” it is Dorman after all”

Ordered a set for 99 350. Sandblasted everything and shot them with rustoleum 2000 degree paint. They went in perfectly, everything lined up perfect. I connected to the manifolds loosely first. Then the y pipe to the bellowed end loosely, then attached the v band (wedged some shims behind the y pipe against the firewall to hold it in place while I got the clamp on. Tightened the manifold bolts then got both driver side upper bolts with long extensions and swivel. Then got the passenger side bolts one from the top before i put the down pipe back in and the other one you can fit a long extension and swivel through the fender liner and tighten up the back bolt. Wasn’t an easy job, but the parts fit perfect. I’m going to order a set for my 99 f550 next.

I saw that my up pipes where leaking when I pulled my turbo off for some other issues so I replaced them while I had it all apart. This is not a difficult job it just takes a lot of patience. I saw the IH up pipes for up to 400.00 dollars. When I saw this set from Dorman for 165.00 I was grinning. They look identical to the IH products. I’ve only had them on for a couple of weeks, but so far they are working great.
