Not the right size and does not fit on the advertise vehicle. original part number is not the original, the machined screw holes that connect it to the engine does not align with any of the engine ones to screw in the manifold.

The Manifold fit well, had to sand the mating surface to make sure of tight leak free seal. The Gasket supplied is not recommended, just cleaned up original steel gasket and it worked great.
The upper heat shield fit well, but no mounting for the lower heat shield that protects the lower control arm bushing. (very close) Used two steel hose clamps, and all is good.
The part went on well, and so far it is working great.

There is a design flaw with this manifold.The elbow after the catalytic converter is to large and it hits the engine block of a 05 chevy colorado before the flanges are allowed to seal to the head, which results in a massive exhaust leak from all cylinders. Dorman knows about this issue and has recalled them. I compared this manifold to the same part number from a local parts warehouse, and they had to pull it out of the “Dorman Recalled Parts Bin” before they could show it to me. I am not sure how anyone has gotten this part to work. DO NOT buy until this issue is resolved.

The gasket had been punched out incorrectly, I suspect it was misaligned during the manufacturing process. Unfortunately I had to purchase another one separately from the local auto parts store. Otherwise the manifold installed without an issue. However it should have included the heat shield. Every manifold of this style has had the heat shield rotted out and needs a full replacement.

Much more stronger than OEM. This one is welded all the way around , not just spot welded like the original. Gm should have a recall and supply these ones .

So, nothing against Amazon, they were great! Product was delivered on time…both times. The manifold was fine, too, nice quality and very good welds around the converter housing, it fit perfectly and the heat shield and everything else that attaches to the manifold bolted up with no problems. HOWEVER, Dorman has a problem with their packaging department. The first box arrived without the installation kit, which is a bag of bolts and studs and a donut ring for the intermediate pipe connection. Plus, the manifold gasket was in a ball at the bottom of the box. Amazon sent out a new order the very next day no questions asked…yay, Amazon, you saved me a whole lot of down time! The second box had the bolt bag and the gasket was in good shape, wrapped in plastic with a cardboard backer-board but, it was the gasket for the four-cylinder engine! Seriously, Dorman? Your parts-picker couldn’t be bothered to notice that there was a five-cylinder manifold in the box and put the right gasket in with it? Sad, sad. The included gasket is bargain-bin quality anyway, so it turned out to be a good mistake in the end. If you buy this manifold, toss the included gasket and spend the $15 bucks to get the real GM gasket from the dealership. It’s all metal and is what GM intended to be used. I hope I don’t have to replace my converter again, but if I did, I would most likely buy this product again.
