I had to replace the intake gasket on my 95 oldsmobile cutlass ciera with the 3.1 V6. The car is my only daily driver at the moment. So I get the engine pulled apart, and begin to replace components. The lower intake gasket for perfectly and so did the valve cover gaskets, however, upon attempting to reinstall the intake plenum, I realized not only are the intake plenum gaskets wrong, but so was the EGR valve. I purchased this kit do that I didn’t have to hunt down the separate gaskets locally. It seems that I will have to go hunt them down anyway. I have to take a day off from work to fix it now.

1994 Chevrolet Corsia 3.1L SFI
What fit my Engine:
1. Lower intake manifold gaskets fit perfectly, Valve cover gaskets fit perfectly
2. 8 Bolts fit perfectly
3. The two smaller o rings are for the heater tube seals. I placed the Middle sized o ring in the bypass hose where it has the bleeding air valve for the cooling system. the smaller o ring i have no idea where it went. The bigger o ring is for the oil pump drive ( where the distributor used to be)
4. EGR gasket for the inlet pipe fits perfectly ( top one of the gaskets in the photo to the left of the 3 long bolts)
What did not fit my engine:
1. Upper intake manifold gasket did not fit (gaskets are for the multi port engine i believe)
2. EGR valve gasket (middle one in the photo) did not fit mine because my model car uses Digital EGR, ( the unit that has three valves)
3.The bottom small gasket is for IAC (Idle air control valve) my model car does not use this gasket.
NOTE:
4 stars because the CRUCIAL parts (bolts and lower intake gaskets) DID fit my specific Engine.
However, If you have the 3.1L SFI engine the parts that i mention will not fit. I believe this is kit is for the Multi port 3.1L engine. Keep the old upper intake manifold gaskets if you can or buy new ones.

The box was crashed and ripped up but everything was there and nothing wasnt bent. So to me the box is just goin to thrown in the trash.

Perfect fit for the 3.1l V6 in my 96 Buick century beater. Great quality gaskets, great fit, only thing that didn’t fit were the upper intake gaskets, mine needed the smaller oval type ones, local chain parts store had them for cheap.
To make your life easier later, I recommend replacing the fuel injector o-rings while doing this job as well!!! Also don’t forget to do the “distributor shaft” O-ring (comes in this kit), even if it’s not leaking, while you’re there just do it, trust me you’ll be happy in the long run. Also get the quick disconnect clips at the Zone for the water pipe that goes into intake, it doesn’t seal properly once removed, might as well replace the thermostat too if you have the dex-cool snot problem. For you out there who haven’t accumulated all sorts of tools for stuff like this, pick up a fuel line quick disconnect tool as well, get the good metal ones, the rest just wastes your time and money.
For those DIY’ers out there attempting to do this job yourself (maybe for the first time): it’s not hard but I recommend you have adequate knowledge of what you’re doing. You will have to set the valves or you could have problems later. It just means you torque the rocker arms for each valve while the piston is at TDC on the COMPRESSION stroke. The site said this was compatible for my vehicle. I started the project by installing the lower intake gasket. No problem.The intake plenuium gasket for the top is not the correct one nor is the egr gaskets. Had to go to local Auto Zone and pay additional money to get the rest of the correct gaskets. The plan was to save funding and in the end it cost me more.

Make sure to double check if you need additional gaskets. Used this kit to replace the lower intake manifold gasket on my 1994 Oldsmobile Ciera. Just as Amazon’s “Garage” informed me of prior to purchase, I wasn’t able to use all of the gaskets included. To order the same type of kit through one of the local chains would have cost twice as much and it didn’t include the bolts. The gaskets were made of metal with rubber seals, so much better then the factory gaskets I removed and they installed without a problem.
